What a witch!

Charlize Theron really got into character for her role as the Evil Queen Ravenna in her upcoming flick Snow White and the Huntsman. So much, in fact, that she injured herself!

"I did enjoy just screaming at people," Theron, 36, admits to MTV in a new interview. "I screamed so much at people, I tore a stomach muscle, which I had never heard of before."

The actress, who just announced in March that she adopted a son, Jackson, elaborated on how Queen Ravenna managed to stay with her even after the director yelled "cut!"

"Off-set, you can joke about it, because you're in these costumes. I felt like I was being so high-maintenance: 'It hurts, oh gosh, I can't walk to craft service,' " she jokingly explained to MTV while fake whining. "You become a big pain in the ass. I mean, I'm saying it was the costume. But it really wasn't. That's how I behaved."

Starring as Evil Queen Clementianna, America's wweetheart Julia Roberts also admitted that it was fun to lash out in her role.

"It was a lot of fun," the 44-year-old explained to Us Weekly. "I could go off the rails in any direction at any time. I am happy to announce that [the Evil Queen] is not inside me!" she laughs. "But without naming names, I drew [how to play the part] from a couple of people I know."
