Charlize Theron is tempted by the London stage

Shes known for her roles in big Hollywood blockbusters, but Charlize Theron tells Mandrake shes contemplating treading the boards in London.

Speaking at the West End premiere of her new film Prometheus, the 36-year-old actress says she just needs to organise her schedule a bit first.

I love theatre, she says. Its just I dont really know whats going to happen, but Im always open to new projects, and its nice to have change. I think itd be lovely to do a stage play some time next year.

The Rt Rev Richard Chartres, despondent about how much the divorce rate had increased since the Queen came to the throne, wants people to use the Diamond Jubilee holiday to restore strained relationships.

Sadly, the Bishop of Londons advice has come too late for the Rt Rev Mark Davies, the Bishop of Middleton. He has announced that his marriage to his wife Joanne has come to an end.

Tablets of wisdom
