Charlize Theron discusses motherhood

Charlize Theron has opened up about being a parent for the first time stating that "it is amazing" to be a mother.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIS-FM radio show about her recently adopted son, Theron said: 'It's been amazing, the amount of emails and congratulations. Everyone's just been so lovely, so it's been really nice.'

She added: "I didn't think I would be a fan of the swaddling. But the swaddling is pretty amazing. It looks a bit like a strait jacket, but for some reason they just love it."

Theron is currently single afte! r breaki ng up with nine-year boyfriend Stuart Townsend in 2010.

Charlize Theron will next be seen as the evil queen alongside Kristen Stewart in Snow White and the Huntsman which hits cinemas on June 1st 2012.
