Charlize Theron Chats with Katie Holmes at Luncheon

Charlize Theron is a new mom, but that's not stopping her from stepping out.

The A-list star, 36, attended a luncheon on Wednesday, sponsored by Jimmy Choo and The Hollywood Reporter, honoring her stylist Leslie Fremar, along with many more of Tinseltown's most fashionable.

One guest at the event, which was held at Soho House in West Hollywood, congratulated Theron on the news that she has adopted a baby boy named Jackson, to which the actress said, "Oh, thank you!"

Theron seemed happy and relaxed during the event, but mostly kept a low profile. She stuck close to her stylist pal, Fremar, and spent time chatting with Katie Holmes.

During the opening remarks when a spokesperson from The Hollywood Reporter thanked the celebrities for attending, Theron loudly joked, "No, they paid us really well. They are sending a check, right?" which drew a big laugh from the crowd.

Earlier Wednesday, Theron's rep announced that her client is "the proud mom of a healthy baby boy."
