Charlize Theron on Kristen Stewart: 'Our friendship is effortless'

Charlize Theron has revealed that she "instantly" got on with her Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Kristen Stewart.

Theron told E! News that she and Stewart quickly became friends when they met for the first time on an airplane.

"We met on a plane going to Comic-Con," she recalled. "You know when you meet someone and it's effortless? It was instantly amazing."

Theron added of their mid-air meeting: "We couldn't shut up. The plane landed and they were like, 'Get off the plane' and we were going on and on."

The actress went on to say that both she and Stewart took a similar approach to starring in Snow White and the Huntsman, saying: "I think we both love what we do and we came to play."

Stewart takes the lead role in Snow White and the Huntsman, while Theron will play the villainous Queen Ravenna.

Snow White and the Huntsman - also starring Chris Hemsworth, Lily Cole and Bob Hoskins - opens on June 1 in US and UK cinemas.
