Charlize Theron is thundercat exerciser

Charlize Theron is a thundercat when it comes to her exercise regime says her personal trainer. The Hollywood actress model physique is partly down to genes but she also works hard with trainer-to-the-stars Fedele De Santis. The fitness expert has worked with the likes of Jessica Biel, Cameron Diaz and Eva Mendes and says that Charlize is dogged in her approach to keeping in good condition. Charlize is an extremely serious, focused, professional, no BS, balls-to-the-wall client, Fedele told Shape magazine. Shes so tenacious my nickname for her is thundercat! Fedeles advice to get a figure to rival Charlizes is to be very particular when doing exercises. Make sure your grip for every exercise is narrow, he said. A wide grip makes the muscles grow wide and your body more masculine. He also advised to lower calories slowly when embarking on a new healthy eating programme and focus on proteins, vegetables and dark-coloured fruits and greens. A lot of women make the mistake of changing the

Charlize Theron To Have A Very Bad 2012

2012 is shaping up to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year. And I am going to love every second of it. Hot on the heels of her bitch-tastic performance in Young Adult came the trailer for Snow White and The Huntsma n, which featured Charlize's scenery chewing, soul-sucking role as The Evil Queen. Charlize Theron is up to no good in Prometheus

Last week, the first Prometheus trailer was unleashed. It had quick cuts, dim lighting, and Charlize Theron doing push ups. In the film, Theron plays a woman named Meredith Vickers, and she's not to be trusted! According to the actress, her character is nobody's hero. Theron recently spoke to Total Film about her role in Prometheus and revealed she's not one of the good guys. When asked if she'll be the movie's answer to Ellen Ripley she replied, "No, I actually don't play the heroine in it; that's Noomi Rapace. I play somewhat of a villain in it." Apparently, Ms. Vickers will be apart of the problem instead of the solution. Theron continued, "She's not believer, she's not a scientist, she is the red tape that everyone has to go through. She's working with the company that's sponsoring this whole thing and you can feel she definitely has an agenda, which we pick up in the third act. She's more quiet thunder." Darn th

Suspended adolescence

Somewhere along the way, Mavis Gary (Charlize Theron) just gave up. But how did she wind up here, living in a high-rise apartment in Minneapolis, waking up seemingly every morning in a hungover stupor to an unwritten page of drippy fiction for high school kids? Over the course of Young Adult 's brisk hour-and-a-half, we learn all about Mavis, and we learn a little more about writer Diablo Cody, too. Mostly, though, we learn to appreciate Charlize Theron's surprisingly immutable sense of dark comedy. This film allows her to take the sort of risks with comedy she already has with heavy-hitting drama. Mavis is more than a subpar writer with an alcohol problem (because how clich is that?). She's damaged goods, perpetually looking over her shoulder for her misspent potential to sneak back into her life. Rather than address her downward spiral head on, she chooses another path. When her ex-boyfriend's wife sends a mass e-mail announcing the birth of their daughter, Mavis head

Charlize Theron: I'm not trendy

Tuesday Dec 20 2011 Charlize Theron insists she isn't a "trendsetter". The Hollywood beauty boasts an effortlessly chic look, both on and off the red carpet. Despite looking stunning at all times, Charlize doesn't make much effort and prefers a more laid-back look. "I don't think of myself as a trendsetter. I've always been more casual and effortless," she told Elle.com. "I try to keep my red-carpet look classic. Charlize Theron's Oscar-Winning Formula Involves Getting Fat, Prosthetics

Posted 10 minutes ago by MTV Movies Team in Video When Charlize Theron talks about how to triumph during awards season, you'd better listen. She's a two-time Oscar nominee, a four-time Golden Globe nominee, the star of such respected fare as "Monster," "North Country" and... "Aeon Flux." Hey, not everyone's a winner, right? Ms. Theron is nonetheless a critically-lauded thespian, and her latest offering she plays a loathsome yet hilarious YA novelist in "Young Adult" has once again landed her in the middle of awards-season chatter. Could this be the year she adds a second statue to match the first, which she nabbed for her turn as a serial killer in "Monster"? Perhaps. But it most certainly is the year you can learn from Theron about how to win an Oscar. In the latest episode of "After Hours," the 36-year-old sat down with MTV's Josh Horowitz to explain how to cozy up to the Academy and walk away with a

Fine form: Charlize Theron is one grand wretch in 'Young Adult'

PHILADELPHIA Charlize Therons first major role in three years (yes, since Hancock, since The Burning Plain) finds the actress in fine form. Actually, scratch that. It finds Theron in terrible form: In Young Adult, an uncomfortable comedy from the Juno team of writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman, Theron is Mavis Gary, a boozing, depressed ghostwriter for a tween girls book series. Mavis staggers around her Minneapolis high-rise apartment like a zombie in sweats, stuffing her face with junk food, trolling the Internet anything to avoid writing. And then she gets an email with an announcement her high school beau and his wife have had a baby. This news sends Mavis into a profound funk followed shortly thereafter by a profoundly bad idea. Shes going to go back to her little hometown and steal Buddy Slade (Patrick Wilson) from his new family, destroy his marriage, reclaim whats rightfully hers. She piles into her Mini Cooper, pops in a mix tape, and heads for hicksville. All s

Phillip V. Caruso So, I loooooved Jason Reitmans Young Adult , which opened wide this weekend. Charlize Theron gave the performance of her career and the fantastically bleak script by Diablo Cody may even be better than her work on Juno . More so, I relished seeing such a complicated character study. Theres no redemption for Therons young adult author Mavis Gary. She doesnt turn a corner or have the standard movie-plot revelation that shes a truly vile human being and must change her ways. For me, that was an awesomely brave twist. But as I walked out of the theater, the lingering thought in my head was, Wow. That character was a real beast and I kinda relate to her! To be clear, I have never tried to steal a former boyfriend from his wife and newborn child. But, like Mavis, I am a writer who grew up in a small Midwestern town now living in a major city. There have been Saturday mornings where I have spent countless hours laying on my couch, watching horrible reality television. Proba

Charlize Theron's movie monsters

NEW YORK - Charlize Theron is a talented bundle of mixed messages. Outwardly, she is tall, blond and beautiful, but she seems to excel at portraying the dark and the ugly. The 36-year-old won an Oscar for her role of a brutal serial killer in Monster, and was nominated for her portrayal of an abused wife in North Country. Theron knows how to play to her strengths. Her next dysfunctional role can be found in Young Adult, which opens Dec. 16, and is directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Theron plays Mavis, a Minneapolis-based ghost writer of "young adult" novels who decides to re-connect with her high-school sweetheart. Returning to her small town in Minnesota, she's confronted by a few obstacles. For one thing, her former boyfriend (Patrick Wilson) is married with a kid. For another, Mavis turns out to be an alcoholic narcissist unwilling, or unable, to take 'no' for an answer. It turns out the only friendly face in town is the nerd (Patton Oswalt)
