Short-Haired Charlize Theron Makes a Sushi Stop

Charlize Theron headed out for sushi yesterday in LA with a few friends. The actress, who has been sporting a somewhat darker version of her Mad Max: Fury Road buzz cut lately, has been hanging out in Southern California ahead of the new year. Over the weekend, she was also seen catching a movie with her mother, Gerda.
Charlize has had her son, Jackson, and her mom close by her side for much of the year, especially considering that she spent time filming the Mad Max project in her native South Africa, where Gerda still lives. The movie's not expected to hit theaters until 2014, but throughout the lengthy production process, she's soldiering on with other roles, too. It was announced late last month that Charlize will star in Sympathy For Lady Vengeance, ! an American remake of a 2005 South Korean film.
