Multiple celebs have been rocking shaved heads as of late! First,American Idol alum Kellie Pickler shaved her head in support of a friend diagnosed with cancer. Charlize Theron is now following in Kellies footsteps, although the reasoning behind the actress and Top Chef guest judges new do is a bit different: the shaved head is for a movie role!
If theres any actress capable of pulling off a huge physical transformation, its Charlize Theron. In 2003, the award-winning actress! gained weight and dressed as frumpy as possible in order to play serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the filmMonster. Today, Charlizes portrayal of the serial killer continues to regularly land on lists of the best movie transformations.
Charlize Therons latest movie makeover may not be as severe as the one she endured nearly ten years ago, but it still forced a double take out of usually complimentary fans. During a recent appearance at a cafe in South Africa, Charlize appeared to have replaced her signature blonde hair with a shaved head. The shaved head is not a super recent development Charlize shaved it some time ago so that she could filmMad Max: Fury Road. However, this latest appearance was one of the first in which Charlize showed off her shaved head away from the movie set and without a hat.
Were not sure what to think of the new hairdo. Kellie Pickler appears to pull off the look better, but then again, the singers post-shaving appearances have generally involved fancy gowns and heavy makeup. Charlize, on the other hand, was just out and about in South Africa,.
