Charlize Theron to Produce Viking Drama The Clan For ABC

Charlize Theron is set to exeuctive produce an upcoming ABC drama about Vikings, to be titled "The Clan". The Hollywood Reporter has the news, saying that the Prometheus star will team with Hotel Rwanda writer/director Terry George.

Said to be set in the Highlands of medieval Scotland, the series will follow Scottish clans battling against one another and fighting off invading Vikings.

George will write, direct and also executive produce the pilot.

This marks the third major television project on the way from Theron's Denver & Delilah. She's also involved in producing the upcoming NBC series "Holiday" and, at the same network, a modernized version of "Hatfields and McCoys".
